The Emerald Coast Convention Center provides professional catering services through ARAMARK and the culinary arts and leadership of Executive Chef Lara Robidoux.
Chef Lara is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is an honors graduate of the culinary arts program at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Her culinary craft was developed at several fine dining restaurants and catering companies. Before coming to live in Florida’s Emerald Coast, Chef Lara frequently moved around the United States as a military spouse. She has lived in many diverse places including Arizona, Hawaii, Missouri, and Florida. Regional American cuisines continue to influence Chef Lara’s cooking. She enjoys combining flavors from different regions and traditions to create inspired dining experiences.
Chef Lara joined the Emerald Coast Convention Center ARAMARK catering team in 2007 as Sous Chef before her promotion to Executive Chef. During her time here, Chef Lara has planned and executed the menus and service for many weddings, corporate gatherings, and major events such as the All Sports Annual Banquet, Emerald Coast Regional Seder Dinner, grand opening of our own Bayview Plaza, EOD Memorial Ball, and AFSOC Order of the Sword.
